Research Area Technology

Discontinuous long fiber reinforced polymer structures with local continuous fiber reinforcements represent an important class of lightweight materials. This hybrid system required a consideration of the whole process chain. The research area technology concerned with four different projects about the manufacturing process, the handling and preforming system, the quality assurance of preforms and the downstream milling process.
